My country

India 🇮🇳 "It’s the daily wage labourers that are being hit hardest by the coronavirus as they have been without work for close to a month now. Two days ago I was in a neighbourhood where people have been surviving only on water for the last few days. It made me realise how privileged all of us are. Until two days ago I was disheartened with the assignments that got cancelled and all the money that I lost with it but for the last two days, I have been making rounds to these neighbourhoods supplying essential ration packets, today was the 28th family and I am hoping to help at least 50 families.

I am using the money/funds I was saving to upgrade my phone to the latest iPhone but with the lockdown in place and no professional work, I realised that the phone can wait, so if you have any such funds which you can spare, please help a few families who are in dire need of help. I don’t know how the situation is in your part of the world, I hope it’s nothing like here in India where people are at risk of dying without food, not the virus.

The most important thing is that you maintain a safe distance and take all the precautions if you are choosing to out to help, I urge those who want to help to not go out on the street to directly engage with people. There are lots of trained people who can use your support, so support by donating to them and it’s absolutely ok if you are not able to help financially, you can still help by urging your friends and family to come out and help."
